I acknowledge my deep appreciation to all of those photographers whose work I have used for this essay. I can only hope that they would approve.

Something is happening here...
they're falling from the sky...
Everything gone.
All those people.
Gone.
We must all come together now as one.
We must embrace one another in our mourning.
We must search our souls for answers.
But first we must mourn...
Of course...
not everyone is in mourning...
in fact...
some people...
about the whole thing,
don't they?
Then again...
there are those who say...
They say, that by fighting back,
by going to war...
we're just making everything...
worse.
And sometimes it does seem...
as though every day...
if we lit a whole bunch of candles...
we could drive away the darkness.
My friends...

Good photo essay!
Time to:
1. quit mourning
2. start cursing
3. start exterminating.
God damn Islam!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Fantastic, Roger.
That America rolled over and went back to sleep astonishes me yet again. 30 years of these attacks and still they don't want to fight back.
Worse yet, they don't want the rest of us to fight back either.
Awesome. Just awesome
RoGeRbAbE! Your use of pics was very eloquent, very touching and rekindled feelings that need to be stoked and turned - feeding a candle of determination. How can we not look at those images and your appropos prose without the willpower, staying power - and fire power - to follow the candles to the their ultimate conclusion?
Thank you for sharing this.
Thanks for sharing this Roger, fabulous photo essay. Keep up the good work!
OUTSTANDING! I like the candle idea. Unfortunately, we have non one in authority that has an idea of that which we face.
How someone could post a nasty comment to this particular piece is just beyond me. But they did. And I of course deleted it.
I almost forgot to thank you all for your wonderful comments!
Fantastic photo essay!
